Why General Shale Thin Brick?

General Shale has been making brick since 1928 and is one of North America's largest brick manufacturers. Its Old Brick Originals line is authentic kiln-fired clay brick, cut to a thin 1/2" profile, so you get the genuine texture and character of old brick without the weight of a full brick wall. Each piece measures 2-1/4" x 7-5/8", the size of a standard brick face, with matching corner pieces for a seamless wrap around outside edges. Lightweight and easy to work with, it's a natural fit for accent walls, fireplace surrounds, kitchen backsplashes and floors, and it holds up outdoors as well as in.

Real Kiln-Fired Brick Genuine clay brick cut thin, not a cast imitation, so it looks and feels like the real thing.

Lightweight 1/2" Profile All the character of full brick at a fraction of the weight, with flats and matching corners.

Inside or Out Rated for interior and exterior use: accent walls, fireplaces, backsplashes, floors and facades.
